Theodore C. Grzybowski

Theodore C. Grzybowski, 89, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Clifton, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Born at home in Paxinos, Pennsylvania, Mr. Grzybowski moved to Clifton, New Jersey where he raised his family and resided for most of his life.  More recently, he has been living in Lewes, Delaware with his daughter.  Before his retirement, Mr. Grzybowski was the owner, along with his son Carl, of the Lexington Service Garage on Lexington Avenue in Clifton.

He had been a faithful parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Clifton where he volunteered his time during Bingo nights. He was a former hunter and loved tending to his backyard vegetable garden.  His wonderful circle of friends, known as the “Dirty Dozen” afforded him many great memories over the years.  After moving to Lewes, he became a member of the Cheer Center in Long Neck, Delaware where he enjoyed bingo, lunch and numerous new friendships.

Mr. Grzybowski was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret A. (nee Sarisky) Grzybowski; his daughter-in-law, MaryAnn Grzybowski; his brother, Joseph Grzybowski and his sister, Rosemary Moore.

Survivors include: his three devoted children, Carl Grzybowski, Gary Grzybowski (Debbie Shanks) and Gail Pluchino (Robert); four grandchildren: Brian Grzybowski, KellyAnn Feola (Shane), Anthony Pluchino and Jenna Pluchino; four great-grandchildren: Samantha, Alexandra, Matthew and Briana; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church 218 Ackerman Avenue, Clifton. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
