Theresa Veronica Rosa (nee DiDonna), age 98 of Clifton, NJ, passed away peacefully in the loving care of her family by her side on March 8, 2025. Theresa, fondly known as Terri, was born to Italian immigrants, the late Nicola and Josephine DiDonna, in Jersey City on June 4, 1926. After her parents leaving New York, Terri’s family resided in Jersey City for a short time before settling in Clifton, NJ. She, along with her sister Rose and brother Joseph grew up in the family home. Terri graduated from Clifton High School. Terri had many fond memories of her parents hosting Sunday pasta and gravy dinners for her aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children. After marrying her husband Larry Rosa in February of 1946, they moved to Passaic, NJ where they raised their son Paul. After Paul graduated from high school, they returned to Clifton. Terri’s husband was a painter by trade and she, after working in several positions, became an office manager at Paxton Patterson Paper Company. She remained at Paxton Paper Company until she retired in her early sixties. Terri enjoyed traveling with her husband, and taking cruises with their friends, and spending time at the Jersey Shore. Terri’s husband was an avid fisherman who loved to be out on the water. Terri loved entertaining her friends and sharing special moments with her nieces and nephews. After 33 years of marriage, Larry passed away in February of 1979. Several years later, Terri was introduced to Edward Schroers by her nephew. Their wonderful relationship lasted 40 years until Ed’s passing in April of 2022. They enjoyed many great times with their family and friends, attending family weddings, birthdays and celebrating many births of new family members. Terri and Ed enjoyed going out to dinner and especially enjoyed meeting friends and family at their beloved Hearth restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Terri’s family grew after her son remarried. Already having a cherished grandson Christopher, she then gained two step grandsons, Billy and Michael. Eventually the three grandsons married and gave her three granddaughters-in-law, two great grandsons and seven step great grandchildren. Her grandsons Grant and Gavin stole her heart, and she was always happy to show her love to her entire family. The grandchildren and the great grandchildren adored her and always had fun when visiting. Terri was a smart, self-made woman that loved to shop. Her fashion style was impeccable, and she was always beautifully dressed, no matter the occasion. Terri was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Rosa, her son Paul Rosa, her sister Rose and her husband Anthony Genchi, her brother Joseph and his wife Jessie DiDonna and her longtime companion Edward Schroers. Terri is survived by her daughter-in-law Gail Rosa of North Carolina, her grandson Christopher (Paula) Rosa of Hackettstown, NJ, her step grandsons Billy (Kelly) Taylor of Florida and Michael (Amanda) Taylor of North Carolina. Her great grandsons Grant and Gavin, step great grandchildren Gracie, Mia, Brayden, Casey, Avery, Aiden, Michael and many beloved nieces and nephews.
