Thomas Theodore Focacci, 79, of Clifton, passed away December 30, 2023. Born and raised in Paterson, Mr. Focacci resided there for many years before moving to Clifton 36 years ago. Mr. Focacci was employed with the Passaic Board of Education for 39 years retiring as Principal of School #1. He was a graduate of William Paterson College where he earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees and was a proud member of the Phi Ro Epsilon Fraternity.
Tom was an avid tennis player, participating in both summer and winter leagues, in order to play all year. You could often find him at the Eastside Park tennis courts. His other lifelong passion was fly fishing. Many Saturdays were spent fishing for trout at the Flatbrook in Sussex County.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 52 years, Barbara (nee Bianchi); three children, Leah Focacci, Aaron Focacci and his wife, Coleen and Christian Focacci and his wife, Christine Beesley; two loving grandchildren, Maxwell and Quinn Focacci; his siblings, John Focacci and his wife, Fran, Mary Ann Santaniello and her husband, Carlo and the late Henry Focacci and his wife, Mary Focacci; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 am at the funeral home followed by the committal at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
