Timothy Golden, 69 of Clifton, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Born in Newark, Mr. Golden resided in Clifton for most of his life. Tim attended the Bruce Street School for the Deaf from 1956 to 1965 in Newark and then the New Jersey School for the Deaf from 1965 to 1971 in Trenton. Before his retirement, he was employed as a repairman in the autobody shop industry.
Mr. Golden was an active member of the New Jersey Community Center of the Deaf and was a member of the New Jersey Deaf Club. He loved sports and in particular enjoyed watching soccer, baseball, football and basketball.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Florence Kent in 2015; his parents, John Golden and Beatrice Licata-Golden; two sisters, Kathy Ferrara and Linda Golden; and one brother, Charles Golden.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 43 years, Beverly (nee Garfinkle); one daughter, Christy Golden of Teaneck; three sisters, Joan Vaccaro, Justine Nardone and Debbie Golden; and one brother, Johnny Golden.
Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted by the family and can be directed to Beverly Golden.
