Timothy W. Morey, 39, of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024. Born in Staten Island, New York, Tim resided in Bloomfield for all of his life. As a teen, he had been a member of the Boy Scout Troop #22. After graduating from Bloomfield High School, he attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Tim was currently employed with Broad Street Liquors in Clifton and Shop Rite Liquors in Fair Lawn. He was an avid fan of the New Jersey Devils and the New York Jets. Tim was an avid reader and enjoyed online gaming.
Tim is survived by his parents, Julia Alvarez of Bloomfield and William Morey and his wife, Joanne of Clifton; one sister, Stephanie Silveira; two stepsisters, Sharon Mandat and her husband, Guillermo and Jacqueline Amanullah; two nieces, Megan and Jordan Silveira; several cousins, aunts and uncles; and two step-nieces, Kaitlyn and Madison Amanullah.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 am from the funeral home followed by an 11:30 am Mass at O.L. Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 120 Prospect St., Nutley. Private cremation to follow.
