Valentine John Iglar

Valentine John Iglar, 78, of Clifton passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 in the comfort of his home, having his family at his bedside.

​

Born in Frydman, Poland, Mr. Iglar came to the United States at age twelve with his mother and once here, they settled in Garfield. He has lived in Clifton for the past fifty-seven years. Mr. Iglar was a self-employed Master Plumber operating as VJI Plumbing Contractors, Inc. since 1977 based in Clifton and was a member of the Paterson Master Plumbers Association. He loved to spend time at the family home in Florida, enjoyed traveling, boating and taking cruises and listening to his beloved polkas, however nothing compared to the simple honest love of spending time with his family.

Mr. Iglar was predeceased by his loved and parents, Maciej and Anna (nee Frankowska) Iglar; by two dear sisters: Eleonora Brzyzek and Mary Bednar and by his three brothers-in-law: John Lojek, Jozef Brzyzek and Joseph Bednar.

​

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Elizabeth (nee Kapuscinska) Iglar, of Clifton; his two loving and devoted children: Diane Moschetta and her husband, Bruno, of Lyndhurst and Richard Iglar and his wife, Katherine, of Pequannock; his three cherished grandsons: John, Patrick and Matthew; his sister, Anna Lojek, of Clifton; and by his many, many loving friends and extended family members…he will be missed by them all.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Please meet at church.
