Walter John Turba, Sr., 95, of Clifton passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021.
Born and raised in Garfield, Mr. Turba resided in Clifton for most of his life. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a tool and die maker with Presto Lock Co. in Garfield. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II, a member of American Legion Post 347 in Clifton and faithful parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Passaic.
Mr. Turba was predeceased by his two dearly missed siblings, Leo Turba and Marie O’Neill.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of sixty-six years, Gloria Rose (nee Ferlise) Turba, of Clifton; his two devoted sons: Walter John Turba, Jr, and his wife, Joan, of Clifton and Glenn Turba and his wife, Diana, of Tuckerton; three loved grandchildren: Gary Turba and Samantha, John Turba and his wife Danielle and Brianna Iannacone and her husband David; and three treasured great-grandchildren: Deanna Turba, Anthony Iannacone and Giavanna Rose Turba. He is also survived by his loving niece and nephews.
Visiting will be Monday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Service Tuesday 10:30am at the funeral home with interment to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
