William Martin Obituary

William T. "Bill" Martin passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2025, in Clifton, NJ, at the age of 73. Born on December 13, 1951, in Yonkers, NY to the late William and Helen Martin.

Bill's formative years were spent at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx. He later graduated from Pace University. He had a distinguished 38-year financial advising career at Ameriprise Financial, where he rose to the position of vice-president, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Bill has many interests and hobbies. A scuba diving enthusiast, he earned the certification of master diver. Bill loved playing chess and would even head to New York City to challenge players in Washington Square Park. Bill's athletic pursuits included golf, tennis, and paddle. He spent countless hours playing tennis and paddle at the Nyack Field Club in Nyack, New York. His dedication to the club was exemplified by his ten-year tenure as president.

Those who knew Bill would describe him as a strong competitor, a loyal friend, and someone who strongly pursued his goals. He loved a good laugh and enjoyed sipping a good glass of tequila. Even through life's challenges he was a determined fighter and never lost his sense of humor.

Above all, Bill's heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Elizabeth Martin, a loving and supportive father to his son, Christopher Martin, his daughter, Danielle Kepler, and her husband, Greg. His role as an adoring grandfather to Lily and Julia Kepler was one he cherished deeply. Bill's love extended to his brother, Richard Martin, and his wife, Rosa, and he fondly remembered his late sister, Janet Martin.

He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire his family and friends.
