In Loving Memory of William A. Tekat
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Tekat, who left us on July 23, 2025, at the age of 82. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, loyal friend, and the unwavering foundation of our family — his presence was a gift we will carry in our hearts forever.
William was the definition of a hard-working man. With strong hands and a gentle heart, he not only built cars, homes and businesses, but also a life rooted in love, sacrifice, and dedication. He could fix anything — and somehow, without saying much, he often fixed us, too. Whether it was by sharing his wisdom, his mere presence, or just the way he showed up for us day after day.
He was the pillar of our family — steady, strong, and always there. Everything seemed to orbit around him. Family gatherings, holidays, even the everyday moments — they all felt brighter, safer, more whole with him in the room. He led by example, teaching us through actions more than words, what it means to be dependable, and selfless.
To know him was to know unconditional love and support. His laugh, his stories, and his quiet pride in the people he loved — all of it lives on in each of us. While our hearts ache in his absence, we are endlessly grateful for the time we had, the lessons he taught, and the memories we’ll hold close forever.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 51 years Anteliana, his children Omar Antonio, Josabet, Randy William, Willeenie, Joel Owen, and Julio and his nieces Cindy and Brendalin. William had a young spirit about him which was especially visible when he spent time with his grandchildren Omaira, William Alfred, Alexia Lourdes, Jandy, William, Rosa and his great grandchild, Amaya. We will all continue to carry his light in everything we do.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 2:00-5:30pm with a funeral service to follow at 5:30pm at Bizub -Quinlan Funeral Home located at 1313 Van Houten Ave. Clifton, NJ 07013. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join us in remembering the man who meant so much to so many. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated. SPANISH VERSION
